Para Cymene Natural Isolate

Adam Michael has this to say “Our para cymene natural isolate is obtained from fractionation of Eucalyptus globulus, this aroma has a big herbaceous powerhouse opening with plumes of red thyme, oregano, marjoram, and Satureja montana. Within that opening and aside from being characteristically “herbaceous” there are also some woody, green and trace spiced qualities. The spiced aspects remind me of p.p.m caraway e.o.

However, within the space of 30 minutes the profile morphs 100% into something completely different. I now perceive the smell profile as a medley of soft pastel form citrus aromatics, chiefly oranges and lemons and the most delicate resinous nuance that comes into greater detection across the next hour – and of which reminds me black sacra resin – albeit even softer. Eleonora also picks out fruity aspects that remind her a little of genuine Mexican damiana e.o. Other notes to look for – include those of soap bubbles through to talcum powder. Both notes seem to be nothing more than a brief interlude however.

Clear in colour, substantivity 2 to 3 hours, and as for uses, a useful modifier of aldehydic chypres and fougeres. Also of use within woody accords. Blends well other herbaceous and citrus aromatics and of good stability for those producing shampoo, soaps and candles.”
