Persian Rose Otto Signature Gold 2025
Adam Michael has this to say “As I type it is the 14th April 2026 and as you would imagine, the war in Iran has displaced many families, including those of the producers we work with.
Two producers reached out to me last month to ask for help if possible. Both had moved their rose otto supplies out of Iran to a mutual friend here in Europe to hold their stocks.
So I sampled and went on to quickly buy two batches – this one I have titled Signature Gold 2025 and the other batch of which will be released on April 28th at 10am Italy time : )
Both batches are top tier and it has been made clear to me it is incredibly unlikely either producer will be able to offer 2026 season rose otto this year from Iran, less so should the situation escalate even further. As such we have heavily committed to these two batches of roses, buying everything of which is a huge financial pressure to say the least – albeit we have terms thankfully.
Therefore, if you are shopping for Middle Eastern Rose Otto, want a top spec profile, hassle free delivery and extremely fair pricing, then these two batches of rose otto are for you and any other fellow lover of rose ottos, while stocks last.
The profile of Persian Rose Otto Signature Gold 2025 needs about 5 to 10 minutes on strip to fire up properly and when it does it’s a wow moment that on the strip lasts in optimal form for a solid 12 hours – with development across the first 4 hours before this profile settles. Classic style Middle Eastern rose that’s easy to fall in love with and reminiscent of a field of roses in full bloom swaying in a gentle late Spring breeze. Exuding soul-calming floral rose freshness of incredible saturation, soft and gentle yet at the same time the depth and strength are undeniable.
Powdery rosy aspects are present, jelly-esq qualities also that reminds me somewhat of how Turkish Lokum tastes – minus all the sugar. For colour I identify this as pink coloured rose on strip – so free from the trace spiced facets to my nose like those you would encounter within red offerings – and this is a first distillation material.
The heart is utterly delicious smelling as the rosy facets are laced with fruity lychee and homemade fridge-fresh, super bright lemonade qualities. Deep dry down – I pick out a powdery character reminiscent of our Kenyan geranium (the most glorious smelling geranium aromatic in existence and nothing to do with corporates) coupled with touches of candy jelly-beans and yet more dreamy powdery rose qualities. Utterly sublime rose otto, flawless and 10 out of 10 on my scorecards.
Uses of good diffusivity, substantivity (wet and dry applications) and body, lending itself especially well to fresh, floral and fruity accords, pairs like a long-happy marriage with jasmine, sandalwood, geranium, neroli and orange blossom aromatics.
