Tangerine 5 Fold Super Concentrate E.O (Season 2025)

Adam Michael has this to say “The aroma of this tangerine 5 fold is full of joyous bright orange esq character, it comes to the the table with more potency, more power, it does everything better than its regular essential oil equivalent. This is also more stable and has a vastly improved shelf life, thus the better choice for both therapists and perfumers alike when a tangerine note is required.

Reminiscent to my nose of drinking the Fanta fizzy pop drink in the summertime – albeit this is sweeter, full of fruit sparkle and refreshing zing throughout.  A little floral in parts,  a little soapy, waxy, and aldehydic, as is to be expected and of which is glorious. Despite what Arctander writes below – tangerine can be used as a substitute for mandarin when a more straightforward and cleaner note is desired. This also makes for a wonderful scent on the aroma diffuser.”

Arctander has this to say “Tangerine Oil can not be used as a replacement for mandarin oil in perfumery or flavour work. It constitutes a particular citrus note, but it is not sufficiently characteristic to become very interesting. It is used to some degree as a modifier in colognes, as a top note material in aldehydic perfumes, etc. In flavours, it is a popular modifier (in the U.S.A) for orange and lemon-lime combination flavors. As a “five-fold” concentrate or similar concentrated (evaporated) oil, it is used in candy flavors, soft drinks, ice cream flavors, etc.”
