Burmese Oud King E.O 2024
Adam Michael has this to say “As of the 20th May 2025, this is my first ever offering of Burmese oud plantation and what a score. The opening notes are all strongly lacquered wood themed, with lots of warmth, subtle chilli seed spice and dirty hyraceum qualities sitting underneath. The woody tones are cresol rich, comparable to the opening of most plantation Cambodia ouds albeit minus the faecal strength. Wood shavings, the smell of hot machinery in a carpenters work room, varnish, saw dust, horses hair, old leather it’s all here aplenty. Tobacco, castoreum, wool musk, petrichor, hot red brick dust, the aromas here are of a similar vain to Cambodian material, but I perceive this as the friendlier on the senses bottle of oud. Also this isnt crassna, but instead malaccensis. On the skin I get about 11 hours of wear, and on the strip this is still very present after two weeks, and at this stage, smelling from the strip, I perceive the smell as warm gravel, cresol with red bell pepper nuances.
Overall Burmese oud is a very good introductory to mid level oud with excellent staying power as you would expect from such a DNA. Uses, blends very well with tobacco, woody and leather accords, combines well with cedarwood derivatives and is a must for masculine creations.”
