Adam Michael has this to say “For perfumers, chamomile absolute adds herbal warmth and roundness to compositions of a woody nature whilst providing a noticeable lift to florals. As with many members of the Asteraceae family, chamomile is rich in azulene. This is referred to as chamazulene (cham – plant, azulene – compound group) and which is well researched and of significant therapeutic use. This absolute is of a thick but pourable consistency (that would benefit from gentle warmth), olive green in colour and obtained by solvent extracting the chamomile flowers. The aroma is herbal, sweet, fruity, and slightly creamy, possessing more strength, warmth and long lasting depth than the steam distilled offering.”
Botanical Name: Matricaria chamomilla
Origin: Egypt

Imagine if Chamomile essential oil and Honey absolutely had a baby – that’s pretty much would be it. A sensational, sweet, herbal material that would be indispensable in perfumery though I add small amounts to my healing serum to round it off
