Adam Michael has this to say “This is such a gorgeous material produced by co-extraction of frankincense sacra gum with Virginian cedarwood, honey yellow in colour and of a pourable viscosity. The idea of co extracting the two materials is one thing but the execution and outcome is beyond perfection and I can’t sing the praises of this aromatic enough. The frankincense has such a cosy, warm, balanced quality with fruity fresh lemon peel top notes.
The cedarwood notes are a dream, none of the harshness or pencil shaving facets readily found in young Virginian material, in fact it has a depth similar to our 10 year aged Virginian material, really matured, rounded and these two materials interact with one another like a marriage made in heaven. The dry down is a drooling oriental sweet woody affair, heavily balsamic and woody animalic as well. In perfumery this is useful for developing oriental, woody and oudh accords and this material is one you absolutely must try.”
Botanical Name: Boswellia sacra x Juniperus virginiana

Love this! It is the base for one of my gender neutral handmade fragrances. Easy to work with and has fantastic longevity.

Beautiful stuff..its like a mixture of wood frankincense and lemon juice blend together to transport you to an antique shop with all sorts of Japanese furniture and statues…

I absolutely love this! The aroma is perfectly balanced warm, rich, creamy smoke. I used it for creating several perfumes so far, mostly of leathery/oriental type, but also to compliment rich floral compositions. All in all, great base note and would definitely recommend it.

Smelling this material instantly transported me back to a Buddhist mountaintop temple in Kurama, Japan. The cedar forests humming with cicadas, the censers overflowing with smoke and ash from thousands of spent sticks. Very beautiful and round, with lots of body and good longevity.

Although I have it in my collection, have not had chance to use it yet, but one thing for sure -it smells amazing.

I am loving this co-extraction! I do believe frankincense and cedar were meant to be used together. Really nice WARM zippy woodsy oil. Sweet, incense, regal, fresh.
