Adam Michael has this to say “This Orange 10 Fold essential oil is an entirely different aromatic proposition to the 5-Fold equivalent. The opening notes of this 10X E.O are full of green orange peel, waxy, soapy and aldehydic qualities. I have evaluated this with my team member Giacomo and he pointed out that this is also resinous.
To build on that insight, I’d describe the resinous note as like that of the pastel orange qualities you find within distilled black sacra essential oils, and that of Dalzielii frankincense resin tears. As this unfolds on the strip, the profile whilst always having a waxy green citrus peel backbone, showcases lots of candied floral impressions that are somewhat reminiscent to me of qualities I pick out when smelling Tunisian and Moroccan orange blossom absolutes in their dry down. By the late middle I feel this unravels itself more and starts to to move forward in a more recognisable citrus form / very candied, juicy, mouth-watering and fresh.
Uses, Orange 10 Fold essential oil provides a rich citrus diffusion to perfume compositions, adds complementary sweet effects in conjunction with neroli, pomelo and orange flower accords and pairs especially well with grapefruit and jasmine aromatics. Beautiful material and highly recommended.”

Based on Adam’s description, I was sceptical and therefore only ordered a 10 ml bottle. Yet, as is so often the case in the world of fragrance, individual perceptions vary greatly. I was all the more pleasantly surprised, as in my view this ten‑fold concentrated orange oil develops an entirely authentic scent.
I use Hermitage’s concentrated citrus oils – which I would almost call their USP – with great pleasure for scenting rooms (aroma lamps, diffusers, etc.). For this purpose, I find the ten‑fold concentrated orange oil clearly superior to, and preferable over, the five‑fold version. It has a pure, unmistakable aroma of orange peel and remains distinctly noticeable in the room’s atmosphere even after several hours.
In this respect, it comes quite close to the five‑fold concentrated mandarin oils, whereas all other (concentrated) citrus oils are markedly less long‑lasting and present. For use in shower gels, shampoos, and the like, this oil would, in my opinion, be the first choice for an orange fragrance.

Sunshine in a bottle and a very useful feel-good agent. Nothing to add to Adam’s description, this is indeed deeper than the 5-fold. It will not fully dissolve in ethanol creating a precipitate, so it is less useful for perfumery. What remains after filtration does not capture the true character of this material and is weaker. But I didn’t buy it for perfumery, but just for a mood burst when feeling tired. Treat yourself to a bottle , it’ll make you smile.
