Rum Liquid 100% (Top Note)

Adam Michael has this to say ” As stated within the Cocoa Tincture content, I have unearthed a lot of oddities that I have ammased over the years and I am going to release them all for sale across May 2026. In this instance we have Rum Liquid 100%. I purchased this on the 16th August 2018, meaning as I type on 5th May 2026 that this aromatic is not far away from being 8 years aged.

Rum Liquid is an all natural creation and it smells utterly divine – especially now. The profile is as you would expect, boozy, fruity, sweet, heady, with some alcoholic woody tonalities sitting underneath. That is the aroma profile. Whilst it lasts, it captures and displays the essence of rum almost perfectly. Like the CO2 offering this one also bursts out of the bottle when you unscrew the cap. By direct comparison with the CO2 you can detect this Rum Liquid 100% is a little less refined and lacking the level of brightness and boozy fruity components that are found within the CO2.

However with all that said if your objective is to display a rum top note within your perfumery formulation then there is a strong argument that this aromatic can also do the job to a very high standard and at less than a tenth of the of the cost of CO2 and absolute rum aromatics.

Life span on strip and skin is the weak point here lasting for approximately 40 minutes to an hour – with the aroma structure remaining the same whilst fading out to a faint boozy note. Clear in colour, of a pourable viscosity and for uses, a must for building cost effective boozy accords, Caribbean rum accords, pairs exceptionally well with Oakwood CO2 – French and English, Vanilla aromatics – especially tinctures. Provides additional lift to citrus top notes, and provides interesting effects combined with leather aromatics.”
