22nd March at 10.05am: Hello World, Adam here with a quick progress report! First thank you of course to the many who have placed orders, most appreciated. As I type should you place an order, please note the lead time is 5 working days before we will be able to assemble your order. This Sunday by 3pm Italy time I am going to release my Onycha Shells co-distilled in 33 year AGED Mysore sandalwood for sale. 10ml price is 350 Euros due to age of the sandalwood used. Also, if you are shopping around for Jasmine Absolute, Violet Absolute or Rose Absolute Turkish, my current batches are exceptionally beautiful – zero gassy aspects in the top, incredible body, excellent development and just so blissfully perfect from start to finish. For those musing on larger weights I can offer my Turkish Rose Absolute (batch TRSGAA01) at 2450 Euros plus vat per kilo and can offer this for 2300 Euros per kilo on a 3 kilo buy – 6900 euros plus vat. Adam Michael has this to say “What an outstanding material this is, seaweed absolute colourless is just like smelling washed up seaweed, with great intensity and longevity plus it is pourable and so easy to work with. Clear to pale yellow in colour and this material is produced by a two-step process. First solvent extraction of Fucus macrocystis originating from the South American Pacific Shore, then molecular distillation of the resinoid on triethylcitrate. Odour of seaweed absolute colourless : moss, marine, iodine, amber, fenugreek, mushroom, liquorice, earthy.”
Arctander has this to say “Seaweed Absolute is an extremely powerful perfume material. Its penetrative effect is partly due to its unusual type of odour. It finds use in mossy-woody, herbaceous, aldehydic or “green” perfumery types, or in fantasy bases, etc. It blends excellently with oakmoss products, patchouli oil, spice oils, cedarwood oils and cedarwood derivatives, lavender, musks, labdanum products, castoreum, pine needle oils, galbanum resinoid or oil, geraniol, nerol, cedrela odorata oil and other dry-woody oils, cyperus oils (Cypriol in particular), etc”
Botanical Name: Fucus macrocystis
Origin: South American Pacific Shore

Firstly seems odd, but I had a feeling about it and in the end was right. It goes perfect for light greens perfume compositions

Easier to work than the other option that Adam offers but amazing quality too that can give power to almost any green, woody and any oceanic breeze type perfumes..so natural and fresh this beauty is..so happy i choose this option too!!

Exactly like smelling real seaweed, damp, wet green.

This one is quite different from the dark-olive brown bladderwrack absolute (previous entry): while to me the latter has above all a pronounced culinary aspect (Lobster Bisque; I actually use it in seafood dishes!), this newer material exhibits a strong iodine note, that is quite unique (the Indian Choya Loban comes to mind w/o the burnt notes). We live close to the Pacific Ocean, and I often drive to Half-Moon Bay after a storm to sample the smell of fresh seaweed washed ashore, before it acquires a rotting note: this material has exactly that fresh note, but w/o the moist/aquatic element, which makes it in my opinion more versatile: I use it with Galbanum and certain conifer oils for an unsuspected twist in fresh/green top notes.
