23rd April at 4.10pm: Unfortunately, regarding the message below and lead-times, I called it wrong. My apologies. As such all orders placed upto the 15th - and about half of those placed on the 16th, will leave by Friday 26th. On Thursday no collections are possible by couriers as it's a national holiday here in Italy. On the subject of SDS, the company handling this for us, has written to me today, acknowledged more are owed to us (submitted in December and January) and that they are now working on producing the final lot of SDS for us. This includes Plantation, Wild and Jungle ouds that many of you ask about. Next, I have spent the past year (literally) sampling ambrette seed e.o and absolutes from various producers and resellers to no avail. They all smell really poor compared to what I carried. They are too nutty, too fatty, too vegetative, too lacklustre, falling away very fast, and really dont showcase the musky textured qualities of a top ambrette properly. Even the big naturals brands are all obtaining and selling sucky poor man's ambrette at the moment. Written as I have decided to move over to carrying ambrette CO2 and this will be in place until I can find a wow absolute and E.O again. CO2 is still not on par with what I had, but it offers a far better profile on the musky front than the abs and e.os in the market place right now. This CO2 will be in stock by early May. Next, we will put all the non.eu destinations we can supply to, back on our website on May 6th - so U.A.E, UK, Switzerland, Saudi Arabia, Singapore and Australia. On the new product front, the next batch of 10 superstars will be released on the 20th May - lots more roses planned. And I will get started on expanding the bulk wholesale side of the business very soon - more aromatics and offered in larger weights as standard - likely upto a kilo on the website. Ok I will write again by Monday. Thank you, Adam : )
19th April at 5pm: Quick update to first say I have now added the following big ticket aromatics to the website: Italian Oakwood Absolute, Organic Georgian Rose Raduga Otto and finally Persian P.E.A Intense Rose (Otto). Orders, as I type with exception to 3 orders, every order placed up until the 11th has left with the couriers. By Monday 22nd, all orders placed up until the 14th will leave with couriers and I will type again across Monday with another update. Bulk Wholesale orders that still need to be manually typed and billed will be done so by Tuesday 23rd. Thank you, Adam : )
15th April at 5.30pm: Today I am running behind but I am happy to say that along with all E.U countries, we now can supply to the USA again. USA switched on just now and the Mysore Sandalwood 4 year aged E.O offer is extended for a week for USA clients to enjoy too. By Wednesday 17th all orders from the 9th April will be dispatched with DHL. Although we are rather full-on with orders at the moment, the lead time will improve significantly very shortly. Reason being since reopening the focus has been solely on building stocks up and we have staff coming on as well now (at last!). I will write again on Wednesday regarding lead times. This week my tasks are to get on top of the SDS we are owed by the company we have employed to handle this. And other than this I am adamant I will update the bulk wholesale list with more aromatics. Finally for now - the following 11 aromatics have recently been added to the site - French Rose Geranium E.O, Sandalwood Mysore E.O 4 Year Aged, Tuscan Olive Leaf Absolute, Mitti Attar (Petrichor), Persian Queen of Roses (Otto), Tomato Leaf Absolute, Oud Assami Skank E.O V.1, South Indian 10 Year Aged Vetiver E.O, Bengali Nagarmotha E.O, VIolet Leaf Concrete, Italian Helichrysum Absolute S.G. Thank you, Adam : )

Adam Michael has this to say “Our vanilla absolute is produced by solvent extraction then purification through alcoholic washing. The aroma oozes dreamy vanillic goodness, sweet playful woody notes infused with ambery warmth. Useful for building honey-sweet florals, Oriental bases, improving gourmand notes especially cocoa rich ones and works wonders with heavy florals. Easier to handle with bain-marie and with patience and the aid of an automatic mixer this material will dilute in perfumers alcohol, by hand it is an almost impossible task.”
Arctander has this to say “Vanilla Absolute is a dark brown, clear and viscous liquid of very rich, sweet and true-to-nature odor. An odor-flavor description of this product would not be correct without the remark that the flavor is strongly dependent upon the type of vanilla used in the extraction.
Botanical Name: Vanilla Planifolia
Origin: Madagascar

A gorgeous material. Considering how vanilla price is going up this is a bargain. Some features of this smell candy:
– a slight hint of indolic at the top (in the background), but the main vanilla note quite prominent from the start.
– slightly woody and ambery (as in resnious) at the middle
– Then it becomes vanilla cake like and sweet. Stays like that more or less the same with an intensity that is gradually reduces – but at a very slow rate
– 10+ hours on skin

So beautiful and smooth..amazing quality and for me better than any vanilla i have ever buy ..if you need a warm and resin like sweet note in your oriental or more candy bouquet perfumes don’t miss it..

Intoxicating vanilla ! I do not know the amount of vanillin in this abs, but there is for sure a prominent woody aspect in it. This is Vanilla Planifolia, i.e. more woody and less floral than its cousin from Tahiti. Yet a true beauty !

So warm, sweet and elegant! I love its woodiness too and the timeless beauty of vanilla which makes it a must have colour on my palette.

I bought a small bottle of this along with several of the tinctures and I wish I just bought a larger size bottle of the Absolute.
I get plump, juicy vanilla beans that I find simply intoxicating. Im quite partial to gourmand materials and this is a must buy. Will definitely be back for a larger bottle in the future.

I love this absolute! And how can you not love vanilla? This fragrance radiates warmth, sweetness, gourmet shades. Most of all, I like its balsamic, leather, smoky notes, which can be seen among the vanilla-sweet and woody-spicy notes. An indispensable thing for a perfumer. Combinations with expensive floral absolutes and oils are great, but I also like its combination with strict woody-earthy oils such as vetiver, cyperus, patchouli.

Such a deep rich Vanilla, a very fine quality. A sweet tone in blending, beautiful enduring scent.

I love vanilla in any form. The Hermitage Vanilla Absolute is an example of the classic vanilla aroma, which combines sweet, woody, balsamic, spicy notes with earthy, leather and caramel nuances. A very rich, sophisticated, multifaceted aroma, worthy to decorate with itself the best examples of perfumery compositions.
Vanilla absolute goes well with many scents, especially luxurious floral absolutes and precious woods accords.
Highly recommended!

Fantastic stuff. Vanilla is a no-brainer. Soft, sweet, deep. Love it!

This vanilla is superb, creamy sweetness with a very slight balsamic undertone. It’s a complete perfume on its own, but it provides some magic presence in uniting perfumery blends, specially ones based on floral accords

This is the vanilla you want to pour into the sponge cake. Don’t expect artificial vanilla sugar, because few are pure vanilla sugar, which we will talk about. Expect a gentle kindness as if it were pollinated by a hummingbird, expect exactly the dark color that the whole vanilla teat has. But most importantly – do not expect a headache. This will make you happy, cheerful and especially a person in a good mood. You will love her!

I am smitten. I never smelled a vanilla absolute in my life but have had diluted oils for the face. Let me say: this is exactly what I was hoping for. Not the methylvanilline kind of sweetness but seriously deep, complex, kind of like wood and then mellows into a bit sweeter true vanilla scent like the vanilla beans scent, not most scents sold as “vanilla” or like vanilla ice cream. This one is just beautiful and probably easy to combine, though it shines on its own. What is an extra plus is that it’s to me very unisex. Love this material.

High expectations but they were not entirely met. Still, on its own in pure form the scent is lovely, could make a nice face or body oil, but I was stupid to dilute it in alcohol wanting to make an amber themed base. Well, I didn’t, I put oud in there to have the vanilla function as a top note since it is very fleeting. Still, I would buy it again. Just the descriptions can be so confusing and then it’s difficult to know what to expect. It could say in the description if it’s base, heart or top note-ish. Then I would know what to expect, I always thought vanilla was a base note but apparently I was wrong. Still, I found another top note that I love and is something special compared to the obvious ones like the citruses. Vanilla, the rose absolutes, cedarwood absolute; I tried them all from hermitage and even though they are not long lasting I am happy to have found unexpected different top notes. It is quite relative but 15 to 30 min is really a top note. I diluted ten drops in 5ml and can smell it about 10 to 15 minutes. But the cambodi oud I then put in as well really lifts it up and changes the vanilla. Sometimes the magic is in the accords I guess 🙂

Beautiful! With an incredible bitterness that I’ve never found anywhere else. You can dissolve in it without a trace. The smell of a pod with an animalic note, bitterness, thick sweetness of ambergris accord. And even some smoky – cool aftertaste.
Hugs, Oksana and Anton.
