Joseph Colbourne has this to say “A diffusive, effulgent, all-natural proprietary blend, blackcurrant liquid is clear and of a pourable viscosity, and it sure is a tart, sweet delight. Unlike blackcurrant buds absolute, there is little cat urine to speak of here; on the contrary, it is jammy, luscious, confectionery deliciousness, reminiscent of not only blackcurrant, but also blackberries, strawberries, snozzberries, you name it.
Lest we mention that it also has the qualities of fruit punch, lollipops, candied violets, and yet more playful, dandy sweetness that sustains with favorable longevity (10 hours plus). What a pleasurable way to conjure up memories of childhood. This is so delectable and addictive—I cannot stop smelling the test strip. Use in forest berries accords, fruity florals, mouthwatering gourmands, or for intriguing contrast in dry or damp woods blends.”

I love blackcurrant to a fault and this offering is everything I could dream of: mouthwatering, persistent and easy to work with. Miles ahead of the synthetic materials in every aspect and somewhat affordable, since a little goes a long way, this is a perfect option for pretty much any artisan perfumist.
This little gem works really well in fresh creations alongside green herbs, Mint and Wormwood, citrus oils (especially Mandarin Red) and pale woods, although I don’t recommend blending it with Calone. It can also be used both in fresher oriental creations and more opulent ones, working as head-space in the former and as jammy delight in the latter.
I’m actually actively trying to find out something that won’t benefit from a few drops of this.

A very potent liquid. By itself, it may be jammy and sweet, but when used in perfume it easily becomes domineering if your hand is too free and begins to show other facets of itself: a cold burning side to it, camphorous, and it can control your creation if paired poorly with other oils.

Very versatile stuff! Great and accurate blackcurrant smell, a little goes a long way! Can sweeten up any blend. Very useful!

When sniffling this material you are not sure what to do first..drink it? Lick it or shout WOW!!! and because is easy to carry away with this candie sweet blue gem use it in moderation because it can over empower your perfume.and there is nothing to do to help it..such a tornado!

I smells fantastic! But what kind of extraction method is used to get a “liquid”?

Maybe my expectations were too high regarding this material but it’s a bit like chewing gums for me. From the other hand, I really like it in compositions with a certain depth. Blackcurrant liquid rounds those accords and gives them a pinch of joy.

My favorite perfume is Chamade by Guerlain, I make my own Chamade (so disapointed by the new guerlain product ! ) Blackcurrant liquid product gives a really fruity fresh head note without any cat urine observed with blackcurrent absolute

I love the jammy berry scent of this offering, purchased to blend with rose. I am not as sophisticated as many of thee reviewers so I have not tried any elaborate or exotic blends, but have found this easy to work with, and exactly what I needed!

This is pure fun! Sweet, fruity, berry, jammy- it’s diffusive, effervescent-
It will play with citrus, woods, wine(savanna, spikenard, artemisia), green, as alight touch in florals
It is strong , needs dilution.
This is whimsical, fantasy, with nothing but ease, a lot of fun!

Open the bottle and arrive at sweet berry candy land!! You can feel the fun, youthful, playful, jammy energy just oozing out. Had my first go with it recently and will need to back off quite a bit. Yes, I can confirm with another reviewer that a little def goes a long way haha! TY Herm.oils!
