25th March at 13.10pm: Apologies but my health has gone backwards rapidly in the past few days. After a conversation with Eleonora, at this moment running Hermitage is too much for us. Therefore the countries have all been temporarily removed and no orders can be placed. Please note orders received upto the time of this message will all be dispatched by today. Earlier messages now deleted from the orange banner but note I hope by mid to late next week I can get involved again with the business and reopen the website to E.U countries. New product releases, I have written content for five new aromatics and the plan was, and still is, to get to ten, and release them all in one lot. This will happen across early April. At the sametime the lab is finished, we have set up and we will get staff employed. Written as my own objective this year for the business remains the same, that being to end the stop start and get Hermitage in a position whereby it continues to flourish with or without my daily involvement. Thank you, Adam : | PS - We will reply to emails we may receive upon our return.

Adam Michael has this to say “Mint absolute is olive green in colour, of a pourable viscosity and produced by solvent extracting the aerial parts of Mentha piperita. Production takes place largely across France although I have sampled American material which aromatically speaking is equally good to my nose. The aroma of this material is utterly mind blowing, far surpassing any steam distilled offering as the harsh, and attention seeking notes are non-existent. This tenacious aromatic triumph exudes fresh, full bodied, ice cool mint notes from start to finish with a light playful herbaceous heart note twist. In perfumery this mint absolute injects a clean, cooling, and refreshing mint garden effect to top notes.”
Botanical Name: Mentha piperita

I don’t know if its a lack of expertise or skill but I seem to be a perfumer who’s interested in developing and emphasizing more of the heart and base notes rather than the top notes, and so when I encountered Mint that is as full-bodied and incomparable as this one, it simply reframed my whole relationship with Mint and how it can be used in a perfume. This totally inspires me to create whole Mint based perfume that is unlike anything I could have imagined doing with the regular Mint Essential Oils

A smooth and pungent mint with a deep heart and a uniquely beautiful mint that evokes an ancient long-lost mint variety, being more musty-earthy than other mints – as well as darker, greener, more mysterious and beautifully nuanced.
Much more heart than top here and the heart is a quiet earth-cooled, green wet and earthy minty one – as if born from the carr wood stream or dark river and infused by the musty riverbank; tinged with sweet and herbal spearmint, wet fur, liquorice and a hint of earthy vetiver. A tenacious beauty and deeply evocative.

What a surprise. A friend of mine loves smelling this straight from the bottle. Definitely mint but so much more. My favorite thing about this Mint Light Leaf Absolute is how it gives a round base note hum (eventually) that really shapes the beauty of the scent, similar to how the Jasmines and Cinnamon from Hermitage do in that you wouldn’t think they’d have such a spectacular base, but they do. Cool, earthy, herbal, minty glow. A mint green glow stick. Does not have a sharp scent like peppermint, so I find it super versatile. I like it with the Hermitage Cassie Absolute and even the Cypress from here. Another absolute I need in my life at all times.
