Adam Michael has this to say “The top note of this 2025 season Turkish rose absolute exudes a joyous diffusive powdery rose-dark orange honeyed note with immensely deep rose character in the heart and beautiful rose warmth within the base notes. This absolute is grown in Isparta, also known as the Rose District and located in the south west part of Anatolia.
This Turkish rose absolute is rose red in colour, of a pourable viscosity and essential for building rose bases, improving rosy florals, carnation bases, developing oriental bases, fougere, chypre etc. Also provides interesting effects within spice notes and blends especially well with most jasmine materials.”

Besides the Cymosa Tratt absolute, this is my next favourite rose absolute. The first impression when smelling it from the bottle was of a very concentrated and aromatic beer 🙂 but definitely has a lot of facets. I like also the very beautiful color and the fact that it dissolves easily into alcohol.

2024 batch, wonderful waxy rose, I made a solid with this, mixing it with 25% rose wax, turned out very beautiful! Beautiful color of the absolute as well, lasts on my skin about 3 hours

To my nose a beautiful velvety, full and very complex rose. Damascene but indeed joyous and even a bit gourmandy fruity. Not as spicy as i expected from the genus and i actually very much like that.
This rose makes me happy, it works in every formula i use it in to give a this very energetic sunny top and velvety warm rose heart.

This scent is lovely though undiluted it lingers for about 15 minutes. I do love the scent and I will use it in perfumes with oud, as a top note. I was confused, I always thought absolutes linger longer because they are thicker, but apparently the rose oils have more longevity. As a top note it works well and considering the price it is a good buy. Great for cosmetics like rose water or a cream.

The image that this rose absolute evokes to me is a green garden were i have just placed a vase of roses and carnation flowers next to a jar filled with spices, making a composition for a painting.
Its bitter sweet notes are in a wonderful harmony with a perfect rose scent, a very special rose – unique, complex and gorgeously multilayered.
You can smell it again and again and never get tired – so much it is amazingly different from other rose absolutes.
Not too sweet, not too spicy, very very Rosy and really persistent.
Can detect a slight cinnamon note as well as carnation in a background.
I would call it a “Perfect rose in a perfect world”.
Rich, sensual, hypnotic – a Number one.

Rose in all its natural fulsomeness, heady and dense, …a pure, pure, rose, … a walk through an English rose garden in late June, red roses fill the air with their velvety warmth, and as their dew evaporates, a dense green spicy pepperiness develops all around.
Soon this rose gives even more of itself: sweet lychees and honeyed mangoes; a rose-infused exotic fruit salad, inhaled through a powdery cinnamon-rose veil.
This exquisite Turkish Rose Absolute has such depth, longevity and possibilities. I wear it on its own, but it’s also very special in edgier creations, alongside dark resins, patchouli and oakmoss.

Love it. It goes quite nicely with ouds and rose ottos, tuberose and gardenia absolutes, oth of which quite stunning too.
It has the sweetness – a typical feature with all rose absolutes I have tried from various regions (referring to Rosa damascena only). The spicy and green top note is not common thing in rose absolutes. So it goes really nicely simply with rose ottos, especially if you want to enjoy a more complete rose in an intense form for a longer time. In other words, imho, if you want to make an all natural rose attar/perfume that is dark and more sophisticated, this is worth trying.
It can be quite dark too – especially if you add some birch tar, along with your typical rose otto and Indian oud combination. The possibilities are endless.

This Turkish Rose absolute disappeared in my blends too quickly! Turkish Damask rose is the closest by scent to that unforgettable scent of summer rose garden, which is so difficult to repeat in perfume. Green and fresh, rosy and spicy, dewy and subtly sweet. Have you ever tried to nibble damask rose petal standing there in the rose garden? This is exactly it. The scent of Turkush rose absolute is all over you – in you nose, and mouth, and in your head, and in your soul.
Watching Golden red drop slowly swelling out and forming into shape before falling into the vial is mesmerising. Not too slow, not too quick, just perfect).
